Biography
Wilson Cruz, also credited as Wilson Echevarría, is an American actor born on 27 December 1973 in Brooklyn, New York. He is known for his role as Enrique 'Rickie' Vasquez on the television series My So-Called Life (1994–1995).
Cruz has appeared in recurring roles including Junito on Noah's Arc (2005–2006) and Dr Hugh Culber on Star Trek: Discovery (2017–2024). He has also performed on stage, including as Angel in productions of the musical Rent. As an openly gay man of Afro-Puerto Rican ancestry, he has worked as an advocate for gay youth.
