Biography
Wolfgang Michael is a German actor. He was born on 15 June 1955 in Heinsberg and trained at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen, graduating in 1980.
He has had a long stage career, with early engagements in Bremen and Mannheim, followed by work at the Schauspielhaus Bochum from 1987, the Schaubühne Berlin from 1993, the Burgtheater in Vienna from 1999, the Schauspiel Frankfurt from 2009, and the Berliner Ensemble since 2017. His screen roles include the Doctor in Youth (2015), Igor in Blood Red Sky (2021), Eckinger in A Hidden Life (2019), and Wilhelm in the series Die Discounter (2021–).
