Biography
Yasuko Kobayashi (小林 靖子) is a Japanese screenwriter specialising in anime and tokusatsu dramas. Born on 7 April 1965 in Koto, Tokyo, she studied at the Scenario Center and made her professional debut in 1993, writing an episode of the tokusatsu series Tokusou Robo Janperson.
She became a full-time writer from 1997 and has served as series composition or main writer on numerous productions. Her credits include series composition for Attack on Titan (2013–2019), JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (2012–), Dororo (2019) and Kakegurui (2017), as well as writing for Death Note (2006) and Claymore (2007). She has also contributed scripts to live-action adaptations such as Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan.
