Biography
Makoto Bessho (別所 誠人) is a Japanese anime director, animator and storyboard artist.
He began working in animation in the 1980s and later contributed as an episode director and storyboard artist on series such as Death Note (2006). Bessho made his directorial debut with Shangri-La (2009) and has directed episodes of Attack on Titan (2013).
His other directing credits include Aldnoah.Zero (2014), Re:Creators (2017) and the IDOLiSH7 series (2017–2023).
