Biography
Yau Fook-Sang, also credited as Chiu Fu-Sheng or 邱復生, is a Taiwanese film producer. Born on 19 July 1947 in Pingtung County, he founded Era Communications, initially a video and independent film distribution company.
Through Era, he produced Hou Hsiao-hsien's A City of Sadness (1989) and The Puppetmaster (1993), as well as Zhang Yimou's Raise the Red Lantern (1991) and To Live (1994). He has also worked in television as the first chairman of TVBS and in real estate development.
