Biography
Yoku Shioya (塩屋 翼) is a Japanese voice actor and actor. He was born on 24 June 1958 in Kagoshima Prefecture and grew up in Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture. His older brother is the voice actor Kōzō Shioya.
He began acting as a child at the age of eight with the Himawari Theatre Group and made his voice acting debut at fourteen in the 1972 anime Umi no Triton. Shioya is known for roles including Takao Shibuya in Perfect Blue (1998), Ryota Miyagi in Slam Dunk (1993), Miles in Cowboy Bebop (1998), Will A. Zeppeli in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (2012), and Gensai in Rurouni Kenshin (1996). He has also worked as a sound director.
