Biography
Yoshio Inaba was a Japanese actor. He was born on 15 July 1920 in Narita, Chiba, and died on 20 April 1998.
Inaba began his career in theatre after the Second World War and became a member of the Haiyuza Theatre Company. His film debut came in the early 1950s, and he worked steadily as a character actor, often in supporting roles.
He is best known for playing Gorobei Katayama in Akira Kurosawa's Seven Samurai (1954). Other notable credits include Throne of Blood (1957), Harakiri (1962) and Samurai Assassin (1965). He died of a heart attack.
