Biography
Zachary Dawes, also credited as Zach Dawes, is an American composer, musician and producer. He is best known as the bassist for the bands Mini Mansions and The Last Shadow Puppets, and has worked with artists including T Bone Burnett, Brian Wilson, Lana Del Rey and Sharon Van Etten.
Dawes grew up in Encino, California, and graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a degree in Film & Digital Media. He composes and supervises music for film and television, including the series The Summer I Turned Pretty (2022–2025), The Big Door Prize (2023), Nobody Wants This (2024) and Stick (2025). His film credits include The Peanut Butter Falcon (2019) and There's Someone Inside Your House (2021). His production work on Lana Del Rey albums earned two Grammy nominations for Album of the Year.
