Biography
Aaron Copland (1900–1990) was an American composer who wrote scores for several feature films. His first film score was for Of Mice and Men (1939), directed by Lewis Milestone. He received an Academy Award nomination for the score.
Copland composed music for Our Town (1940), The North Star (1943), The Red Pony (1949) and The Heiress (1949). His score for The Heiress won the Academy Award for Best Original Score. Music from his works was later used in He Got Game (1998).
