Biography

Abbie Cornish is an Australian actress born on 7 August 1982 in Lochinvar, New South Wales. She began modelling at the age of 13 and made her acting debut on the television series Children's Hospital. Her early film work includes a lead role in the Australian drama Somersault (2004).

Cornish is known for her performances in Bright Star (2009) as Fanny Brawne, Sucker Punch (2011) as Sweet Pea, Limitless (2011) as Lindy, RoboCop (2014) as Clara Murphy, and Geostorm (2017) as Sarah Wilson. She collaborated with director Martin McDonagh on Seven Psychopaths (2012) and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017), in which she played Anne.

She portrayed Cathy Mueller in the Amazon series Jack Ryan (2018–2023). Cornish is set to star as Emma Le Roux and serve as executive producer on the 2026 series Invisible. As part of the ensemble cast of Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, she received a Screen Actors Guild Award.
