Biography
Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, known professionally as The Weeknd, is a Canadian singer, songwriter, record producer and actor. Born on 16 February 1990 in Toronto, he has appeared in film and television under his stage name and other credits.
His screen credits include a role as himself in the 2019 film Uncut Gems. He later starred as Tedros in the 2023 series The Idol and is credited on the 2025 film Hurry Up Tomorrow.
