Biography
Akira Kubo is a Japanese actor born on 1 December 1936 in Tokyo. He has appeared in more than 70 films since his debut in 1952.
Kubo is known for supporting roles in two films directed by Akira Kurosawa: Throne of Blood (1957) as Yoshiteru Miki and Sanjuro (1962). He also played leading parts in several tokusatsu productions for Toho, including Matango (1963), Son of Godzilla (1967) and Destroy All Monsters (1968). Earlier in his career he appeared in Arashi (1956), which was entered in the Berlin International Film Festival.
