Biography

Jun Tazaki (born Minoru Tanaka) was a Japanese actor. He began his career as a stage performer in the 1930s and made his film debut in 1948, later adopting the name Jun Tazaki around 1950.

Tazaki appeared in numerous Toho productions, frequently cast as scientists or military officers in kaiju films including King Kong vs. Godzilla (1962), Atragon (1963), Mothra vs. Godzilla (1964) and Destroy All Monsters (1968). He also worked with director Akira Kurosawa on High and Low (1963) as Kamiya, National Shoes Publicity Director, and Ran (1985) as Seiji Ayabe. He died in Tokyo in 1985.
