Biography
Kenji Sahara is a Japanese actor born on 14 May 1932 in Kawasaki City, Kanagawa. His real name is Masayoshi Kato; he previously used the stage name Tadashi Ishihara and adopted his current name upon securing the lead role in Rodan (1956).
He is known for numerous supporting roles in Toho's kaiju films, including Kazuo Fujita in King Kong vs. Godzilla (1962), Jiro Torahata in Mothra vs. Godzilla (1964), Commander Nishikawa in Destroy All Monsters (1968), Morio in Son of Godzilla (1967) and Kenkichi Miki in All Monsters Attack (1969). Sahara holds the record for the most appearances by any actor in the Godzilla series.
