Biography
Alan Freedland is an American writer and producer. He was born in Evanston, Illinois. His early writing credits include episodes of The Nanny (1993).
Freedland wrote multiple episodes of the animated series King of the Hill (1997) and served as a producer on the show from 1998 to 2002. He won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program in 1999 and received further nominations. He has frequently collaborated with writer Alan R. Cohen.
His other credits include writing for American Dad! (2005) and the screenplay for the film Due Date (2010). He has also worked on the The Strangers film series, including The Strangers: Chapter 1 (2024).
