Biography
Alan R. Cohen is an American writer and producer. Born on 23 June 1964 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he began his television career in the 1990s.
He contributed as a writer, story editor and producer on the animated series King of the Hill (1997–2002), co-writing numerous episodes with Alan Freedland. His other television credits include episodes of The Nanny (1993), American Dad! (2005) and The Freak Brothers (2020–2023).
Cohen co-wrote the screenplay and story for the feature film Due Date (2010) with Freedland. He later wrote screenplays for The Strangers: Chapter 1 (2024), The Strangers: Chapter 2 (2025) and The Strangers: Chapter 3 (2026). He has received one Primetime Emmy Award.
