Biography
Alex Ferns is a Scottish actor. He was born on 13 October 1968 in Lennoxtown, Scotland, and studied drama at the University of Cape Town after spending part of his youth in South Africa. He began his screen career in the mid-1990s.
Ferns is known for his role as Trevor Morgan in the BBC soap opera EastEnders (2000–2002), for which he received the British Soap Award for Best Newcomer, and as Rick Harper in River City (2017–2018). On television he has also appeared as Andrei Glukhov in the miniseries Chernobyl (2019), for which he won a BAFTA Scotland Award, Sergeant Linus Mosk in Andor (2022), and DS Nick Holness in The Devil's Hour (2022–2024).
His film credits include The Ghost and the Darkness (1996), Lieutenant Gordon in Joyeux Noël (2005), roles in The Legend of Tarzan (2016), Wrath of Man (2021) and The Batman (2022), and Mikael in Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (2024).
