Biography
Alon Aboutboul, also credited as Alon Abutbul or Alon Moni Abutbul, was an Israeli actor. He was born on 28 May 1965 in Kiryat Ata, Israel, and died on 29 July 2025 at HaBonim Beach near HaBonim, Israel.
He graduated from the Thelma Yellin High School of Arts in 1983 and made his film debut that year in Hapnimiyah. Early Israeli roles included Two Fingers from Sidon (1986), for which he won Best Actor at the Jerusalem Film Festival, and One of Us (1989), which brought a second Jerusalem award. He received the Ophir Award for Best Supporting Actor for Nina's Tragedies (2003) and the IFFI Best Actor Award (Male) at the 44th International Film Festival of India in 2013 for A Place in Heaven.
Aboutboul appeared in international productions including Rambo III (1988), Munich (2005), Body of Lies (2008), The Dark Knight Rises (2012) as Dr. Pavel, and London Has Fallen (2016). He also had recurring television roles in series such as The Mentalist, Fringe, Homeland and The Blacklist.
