Biography

Amy Vincent is an American cinematographer and member of the American Society of Cinematographers since 2002. She was born in Boston, Massachusetts, studied theatre arts and film at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and cinematography at the American Film Institute.

Vincent's feature credits as director of photography include Eve's Bayou (1997), Hustle & Flow (2005), for which she received the Sundance Film Festival Excellence in Cinematography award, Black Snake Moan (2006), the 2011 remake of Footloose, and Song Sung Blue (2025). She has also worked as a second-unit or additional photographer on films including Natural Born Killers (1994), Mr. Brooks (2007) and Abduction (2011).

In 2024 she received the ASC President's Award. She has collaborated repeatedly with director Craig Brewer and has taught and mentored at Loyola Marymount University.
