Biography
Ana de la Reguera is a Mexican actress. Born Anabell Gardoqui de la Reguera on 8 April 1977 in Veracruz, she began performance arts studies at the Instituto Veracruzano de la Cultura before training at Televisa's Centro de Educación Artística (CEA) in Mexico City and with Juan Carlos Corazza in Spain. She also studied in Los Angeles with instructors including Aaron Spicer and Lisa Robertson.
She started in telenovelas such as Azul (1996) and Pueblo chico, infierno grande (1997). In theatre she appeared in El Cartero (Il Postino), receiving awards from the Association of Theatre Journalists of Mexico and the Association of Theatre Critics and Journalists. Her film and television credits include Nacho Libre (2006), Cowboys & Aliens (2011), Narcos (2015), Army of the Dead (2021) and the voice of Ambassador Turais in Elio (2025). She has also created, written and starred in the series Ana.
