Biography
Andrzej Korzyński was a Polish composer, arranger and pianist. Born in Warsaw on 2 March 1940, he graduated from the State Higher School of Music in Warsaw in 1964, where he studied composition and conducting.
He composed scores for numerous Polish films, including six directed by Andrzej Wajda such as Man of Marble (1977) and Man of Iron (1981), and several by Andrzej Żuławski including The Third Part of the Night (1972), The Devil (1972) and Possession (1981). He was a pioneer of Polish electronic music, co-founder of the Rytm Youth Studio and a member of the group Arp Life. Korzyński also wrote popular songs and music for the Akademia Pana Kleksa films. He died on 18 April 2022.
