Biography
Andy Muschietti is an Argentine film director and screenwriter. Born Andrés Walter Muschietti on 26 August 1973 in Vicente López, Buenos Aires, he studied at the Fundación Universidad del Cine. He began his career as a storyboard artist and worked on projects including the 1996 film Evita.
Muschietti's feature debut was the 2013 horror film Mama, which he co-wrote with his sister Barbara Muschietti, who also produced. He directed the adaptations It (2017) and It Chapter Two (2019). In 2023 he directed the DC Extended Universe film The Flash.
