Biography
Anita Sharp-Bolster (also credited as Anita Bolster) was an Irish actress. She was born on 28 August 1895 in Glenlohane, Kanturk, County Cork, Ireland, and died on 1 June 1985 in North Miami, Florida, United States.
She began her career on the British stage and made her film debut in the 1928 British production What Money Can Buy. Her American film debut came in 1942 with Saboteur, directed by Alfred Hitchcock. She appeared in numerous Hollywood films in supporting roles, including as Mrs. Foley in The Lost Weekend (1945), as well as parts in Scarlet Street (1945), My Name Is Julia Ross (1945) and The Thin Man Goes Home (1944).
Sharp-Bolster also worked in television and on Broadway, with credits including Lady in Waiting (1940) and episodes of Dark Shadows (1968). She was married to Jacob Schwartz.
