Biography
Ann Robinson (1929–2025) was an American actress. Born in Hollywood, California, she began her career as a stunt rider before Paramount Pictures signed her in the early 1950s.
Her best-known role was as Sylvia Van Buren in the 1953 science-fiction film The War of the Worlds. She appeared in Imitation of Life (1959) as a showgirl and had a cameo as the grandmother in the 2005 remake of War of the Worlds. Robinson also starred in the 1954 film Dragnet and made guest appearances in numerous television series.
