Biography

Anne Consigny is a French actress. Born in Alençon, Orne, she began acting on stage as a child and later trained at the Conservatoire national supérieur d'art dramatique and Cours Florent. She was a pensionnaire at the Comédie-Française in the early 1980s and made her screen debut in 1981.

She is known for her film roles including Françoise in Je ne suis pas là pour être aimé (2005), Claude in The Diving Bell and the Butterfly (2007), Elisabeth in A Christmas Tale (2008), and Anna in Elle (2016). She has also appeared in 36th Precinct (2004), Mesrine: Public Enemy #1 (2008), and At Eternity's Gate (2018), as well as television series such as The Returned (2012). Consigny received César Award nominations for Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress.

She is married to art critic Éric de Chassey.
