Biography
Anne Haney (born Anne Ryan Thomas) was an American actress. Born on 4 March 1934 in Memphis, Tennessee, she died on 26 May 2001 in Studio City, California, of congestive heart failure. She studied drama at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and began her professional acting career in her mid-40s after moving to California.
Haney appeared in around 50 film and television productions. She played Mrs. Sellner in the 1993 film Mrs. Doubtfire, Greta in Liar Liar (1997) and Mrs. Chapil in The American President (1995). On television she had recurring roles on L.A. Law as Judge Marilyn Travelini and on Mama's Family as Alberta Meechum, and guest-starred on series including Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, ER, Charmed and Curb Your Enthusiasm.
