Biography

Anne Østerud is a Norwegian film editor. Born on 23 April 1964 in Lørenskog, she trained at the National Film School of Denmark, graduating in 1995.

She has edited numerous Danish and international features, including The Hunt (2012), The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2009), the Pusher trilogy (Pusher, 1996; Pusher II, 2004; Pusher 3, 2005), Another Round (2020) and The Commune (2016). She frequently collaborates with editor Janus Billeskov Jansen and directors such as Thomas Vinterberg and Nicolas Winding Refn.

Østerud has received several Robert Awards for Best Editing, including for Worlds Apart (2009), The Hunt (2014, shared) and Another Round (2021, shared). In 2016 she and Jansen won the European Film Award for Best Editing for The Commune.
