Biography
Ante Cheng is a cinematographer based in Los Angeles. He trained at the University of Southern California, where he received an MFA.
He is known for his work on the films Gook (2017), Ms. Purple (2019) and Blue Bayou (2021), all directed by Justin Chon, as well as the series Pachinko (2022). Cheng has also served as director of photography on His & Hers (2026) and Ironheart (2025). In 2021 he was named one of Variety's "10 Cinematographers to Watch".
Cheng received a Primetime Emmy nomination for outstanding main title design on Pachinko and an Independent Spirit Award nomination for best cinematography on Blue Bayou.
