Biography
Anthony Calf is an English actor. Born on 4 May 1959 in Hammersmith, London, he trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). He made his screen debut in the early 1980s and has appeared in numerous film, television and theatre productions.
Calf is known for his role as Fitzroy in the film The Madness of King George (1994). Other screen credits include Colonel Fitzwilliam in the 1995 BBC adaptation of Pride and Prejudice, Howard in The Man Who Knew Infinity (2015), Mark Berner in The Children Act (2017) and Superintendent William Roy in I Came By (2022). He has had recurring television roles in New Tricks as DAC Robert Strickland and guest appearances in Doctor Who. His theatre work includes productions at the National Theatre, such as The Madness of George III.
