Biography
Anthony Lawrence was an American television and film writer. Born in Hollywood, California, on 12 May 1928, he began his career in the theatre before taking small acting roles, often credited as Mitchell Lawrence. He turned to screenwriting in the late 1950s with the support of his cousin, Robert Dillon.
Lawrence wrote episodes for numerous series, including Bonanza, The Outer Limits (1963–1964), Ben Casey, The Fugitive (1966), Hawaii Five-O (1969–1974) and Columbo. His film credits include the screenplay for Roustabout (1964). He also created the series The Sixth Sense (1972) and received three Writers Guild of America Award nominations.
