Biography

Armyan Bernstein, also credited as Barry Bernstein, is an American film and television producer, screenwriter and director. Born Barry Bernstein on 12 August 1947 in the United States, he is the co-founder and chairman of Beacon Pictures, which he established in 1990 with Tom Rosenberg.

Bernstein produced Thirteen Days (2000). His other film credits as producer or executive producer include Air Force One (1997), The Hurricane (1999, which he also co-wrote), End of Days (1999), The Family Man (2000), Bring It On (2000), Dawn of the Dead (2004), Children of Men (2006) and The Guardian (2006). He has also served as executive producer on the television series Castle (2009).

Bernstein received the ShoWest Producer of the Year award and the USC Scripter Award for his work on The Hurricane. He produced the Broadway musical Bring It On, which received a Tony Award nomination for Best Musical.
