Biography
Art Garfunkel is an American actor and singer. With Paul Simon he formed the duo Simon & Garfunkel, who contributed music to the 1967 film The Graduate.
Garfunkel made his feature-film acting debut in Mike Nichols' Catch-22 (1970) as Captain Nately. He played Sandy in Nichols' Carnal Knowledge (1971), a role that brought a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actor. Subsequent film appearances include Bad Timing (1980) as Alex Linden, Boxing Helena (1993) as Dr Lawrence Augustine and The Rebound (2009) as Harry Finklestein. He has also voiced characters in television series including Frasier (1993).
