Biography
Arthur Sharpe is a British film and television composer. While studying at Edinburgh University he began writing music for Cambridge Footlights productions, including the sketch show Grow Up. He later contributed to the soundtrack for the feature film Black Pond (2011).
Sharpe is known for his scores for the BBC series Ghosts (2019–), the Channel 4 series Flowers (2016–2018) and the HBO/Sky Atlantic series Landscapers (2021). His other credits include the feature film The Electrical Life of Louis Wain (2021), the series Guilt (2019–2023) and The Following Events Are Based on a Pack of Lies (2023), and Prime Target (2025). He frequently collaborates with his brother, director Will Sharpe.
Sharpe has won a BAFTA Television Craft Award for Original Music for Landscapers, two Ivor Novello Awards for Best Television Soundtrack, and an RTS Craft & Design Award for Flowers.
