Biography

Will Sharpe is an English actor, writer and director. Born William Tomomori Fukuda Sharpe on 22 September 1986 in London, he was educated at the University of Cambridge. He first appeared in the medical drama Casualty (2009–2010) and wrote for comedy shows before making his feature directorial debut with Black Pond (2011).

Sharpe created, wrote, directed and starred in the Channel 4 series Flowers (2016–2018). He directed the film The Electrical Life of Louis Wain and the miniseries Landscapers (both 2021). His performance in Giri/Haji (2019) earned a British Academy Television Award for Best Supporting Actor, and he received a Primetime Emmy nomination for The White Lotus (2022). He played James in the film A Real Pain (2024) and portrayed Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in the series Amadeus (2025).
