Biography
Ashton Sanders is an American actor. He was born on 24 October 1995 in Carson, California, and attended Grand Arts High School in Los Angeles before studying at the Theatre School at DePaul University, which he left after three years to pursue acting full time.
Sanders made his screen debut in the 2013 film The Retrieval. He had a small role in Straight Outta Compton (2015) and gained recognition for his performance as teenage Chiron in Moonlight (2016). Subsequent credits include The Equalizer 2 (2018), Native Son (2019), Captive State (2019), All Day and a Night (2020), Judas and the Black Messiah (2021), Wu-Tang: An American Saga (2019–2023) as Bobby Diggs, and Whitney Houston: I Wanna Dance with Somebody (2022) as Bobby Brown.
