Biography
Austin Stowell is an American actor. He was born on 24 December 1984 in Kensington, Connecticut, and graduated from Berlin High School in 2003. He studied dramatic arts at the University of Connecticut, performing with the Connecticut Repertory Theatre, and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2007.
Stowell made his screen debut in 2009 on the series The Secret Life of the American Teenager. He is known for roles including Ryan in Whiplash (2014), Francis Gary Powers in Bridge of Spies (2015), and young Leroy Jethro Gibbs in the series NCIS: Origins (2024–present). Other credits include Dolphin Tale (2011) and its 2014 sequel, Love and Honor (2013), Colossal (2017), Battle of the Sexes (2017), Swallow (2020), and The Hating Game (2021).
