Biography
Avan Tudor Jogia is a Canadian actor, author and director. He made his screen debut in the television film A Girl Like Me: The Gwen Araujo Story (2006) and gained wider recognition for his recurring role as Ben Stark in Caprica (2010) and as Beck Oliver in the Nickelodeon series Victorious (2010–2013).
Subsequent television work includes leading roles in Twisted (2013), the miniseries Tut (2015), Ghost Wars (2017–2018) and Now Apocalypse (2019). His film credits include Zombieland: Double Tap (2019), Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City (2021) as Leon Kennedy and Backrooms (2026) as Naren Warne. His directorial debut was the short film Alex (2011). In 2011 he co-founded the LGBT advocacy organisation Straight But Not Narrow, and he has published two books of poetry and short stories.
