Biography
Avi Youabian is a director and editor. Born in Tehran, Iran, and raised in Los Angeles, he is a graduate of the USC School of Cinematic Arts.
He began his career as an editor on film and television projects before moving into directing. His early directorial work includes the 2013 digital series Tainted Love, named by Variety as one of the top ten web series of that year, and the 2017 film Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands: War Within the Cartel. He has directed episodes of numerous television series, including The Walking Dead (2015), Arrow (2019), The Blacklist, Zoo, DC's Legends of Tomorrow, MacGyver, All American, Batwoman, FBI: International and others.
Youabian received an Emmy nomination for his directing and producing work on the web series The Walking Dead: Red Machete.
