Biography
Azusa Yamazaki is a Japanese film editor. She studied at the graduate school of Tokyo University of the Arts and then worked as a university assistant while editing projects for around four years.
She has edited multiple films by director Ryusuke Hamaguchi, including The Depths (2010), Asako I & II (2018) and Drive My Car (2021). Other credits include Evil Does Not Exist (2023), The Fish Tale (2022) and Chime (2024). Yamazaki received the Japan Academy Prize for Best Editing and the Asian Film Award for Best Editing for Drive My Car.
