Biography
Baptiste Sornin is a French actor and director. Born in Nantes in 1982, he trained at the INSAS in Brussels after earlier studies in Bordeaux and has been based in Belgium since 2001.
He is known for recurring roles in films by the Dardenne brothers, including the morgue attendant in Lorna's Silence (2008), an educator in The Kid with a Bike (2011) and The Unknown Girl (2016), and Mr. Dumont in Two Days, One Night (2014). He received a Magritte nomination for best male newcomer for his lead performance in Sonar (2017).
Sornin has appeared in other Belgian and French productions on screen and television, and works in theatre as an actor, writer and director. He is a founding member of the Mariedl company.
