Biography
Barbara Bain is an American actress. She was born Mildred Fogel on 13 September 1931 in Chicago, Illinois.
She studied sociology at the University of Illinois and trained in dance with Martha Graham and acting at the Actors Studio with Lee Strasberg. Bain began her career as a model and dancer in New York before moving into acting in the late 1950s.
She is best known for playing Cinnamon Carter in the television series Mission: Impossible (1966–1969), for which she won three consecutive Primetime Emmy Awards, and as Dr Helena Russell in Space: 1999 (1975–1977). Her other credits include guest roles in Get Smart (1965), Murder, She Wrote (1984) and Moonlighting (1985), and film appearances in Panic (2000), Forget Me Not (2009) and On the Rocks (2020).
