Biography
Barbara Kidd is a British costume designer whose credits include the feature film Nil by Mouth (1997), directed by Gary Oldman.
She has worked extensively in British television, with credits on the original Doctor Who series in the 1970s and 1980s, and on the revived series including Doctor Who: A Christmas Carol (2010). Other notable work encompasses the miniseries Little Dorrit (2008), The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby (2001) and Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell (2015), as well as the films Ladies in Lavender (2004) and Paranoid (2000).
Kidd received an Emmy Award for Outstanding Costumes for a Miniseries, Movie or a Special for Little Dorrit, and a BAFTA Television Craft Award for Nicholas Nickleby.
