Biography
Beatie Edney is an English actress. Born Beatrice Edney on 23 October 1962 in London, she is the daughter of actress Sylvia Syms.
She first came to attention playing Heather MacLeod in the 1986 film Highlander, reprising the role in Highlander: Endgame (2000). Edney appeared as Carole Richardson in In the Name of the Father (1993) and as Prudie Paynter in the BBC series Poldark (2015–2019). Her other television credits include roles in Agatha Christie's Poirot, Inspector Morse, Lewis, Prime Suspect and Andor (2022). She has also performed on stage, including as Queen Charlotte in a 2012 revival of The Madness of George III at the Apollo Theatre.
