Biography
Bertil Anderberg was a Swedish actor. Born Otto Bertil Anderberg on 13 February 1913 in Malmö, he died on 11 September 1991 in Gothenburg.
He worked at an architect's office from 1929 to 1934 before training privately with Karin Alexandersson. After small roles at Dramaten and other Stockholm theatres, he joined Göteborgs stadsteater in 1938 following a recommendation for a part in Shakespeare's Coriolanus. He remained associated with the theatre for many years and played the title role in Hamlet at the 1947 Varberg fortress plays.
Anderberg appeared in several Ingmar Bergman films, including an uncredited role as a police constable in It Rains on Our Love (1946), Raval in The Seventh Seal (1957) and Ernst von Merkens in Hour of the Wolf (1968). His screen career spanned from the mid-1930s to the early 1980s and included numerous other film and television roles.
