Biography
Brendan Maher is an Australian television director. He has directed episodes of numerous Australian series since the 1980s, including Five Mile Creek, The Flying Doctors, The Secret Life of Us and Tomorrow, When the War Began (2016).
His British and international credits include episodes of Spooks (2002), Silent Witness, Upstairs Downstairs (2010), Spartacus (2010), Outlander (2014) and Strike Back, as well as the miniseries The Passing Bells (2014) for the BBC.
Maher won AFI awards for Best Director for the telemovies The Road from Coorain (2002) and After the Deluge (2003), and an Australian Directors Guild Award for Dirt Game (2009).
