Biography
Brian A. Kates is a film and television editor. Born on 14 July 1972 in New York City, he studied film production, cinema studies and Judaic studies at New York University. He is a member of the American Cinema Editors.
Kates edited the films Killing Them Softly (2012), The Savages (2007) and Shortbus (2006). His television credits include episodes of Succession (2018) and The Plot Against America (2020), and the pilot of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (2017). He has won two Primetime Emmy Awards.
