Biography
Brian Bovell (born 26 October 1959) is an English actor. He began his career in the early 1980s in Black Theatre and appeared in the film Babylon (1980). As a stage actor, he won the London Critics' Circle Theatre Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Where There Is Darkness (1981).
Bovell is known for his role as Hortense's Brother in Secrets & Lies (1996). His other credits include Love Actually (2003), Pan (2015), Roald Dahl's The Witches (2020), Bridgerton (2020), Tom & Jerry (2021), Foundation (2021), Shadow and Bone (2021), Andor (2022) and Silo (2023). He has appeared in multiple episodes of Casualty and Doctors, and played recurring roles in The Bill, Coronation Street and Hollyoaks. He was a semi-finalist on Celebrity MasterChef in 2017.
