Biography
Brian McCardie (22 January 1965 – 28 April 2024) was a Scottish actor and writer. Born in Glasgow, he attended Our Lady's High School in Motherwell and studied drama at Rose Bruford College in London. He began his screen career in the late 1980s with appearances in EastEnders and other British television.
McCardie appeared in several notable films, including Rob Roy (1995) as Alasdair, The Ghost and the Darkness (1996) as Angus Starling, Speed 2: Cruise Control (1997) as Merced, and The Damned United (2009) as Dave Mackay. On television he played Tommy Hunter in Line of Duty (2012–2014) and Jackson Jones in Time (2021). He also wrote and performed the one-man play Connolly.
