Biography
Brian Merken is an American television editor and producer. Born on 3 April 1977 in Beverly Hills, California, he began working in editorial departments on series including Malcolm in the Middle and Ugly Betty before receiving solo editing credits.
Merken edited 23 episodes of the HBO comedy Silicon Valley (2014–2018). He won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing for a Comedy Series in 2015 for the episode “Two Days of the Condor” and received further nominations in the category. He has also edited episodes of New Girl, Girlboss, Single Drunk Female, Young Sheldon (63 episodes, 2017–2024) and Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage.
A member of the American Cinema Editors (ACE), Merken has additionally worked as a co-producer on several series.
