Biography
Alex Reid is an American television writer, director and producer. He graduated from Clemson University with a degree in electrical engineering and began his career as a stand-up comedian in San Francisco before moving to Los Angeles to write for television in the late 1990s.
Reid wrote for and produced Malcolm in the Middle (2000–2006), winning a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series for the episode “Bowling”. He has directed episodes of numerous sitcoms, including three episodes of Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2016–2017), as well as The Middle, The Mindy Project, Life in Pieces, Young Sheldon and The Unicorn.
